Widely used hotel booking website, Hotels.com has rolled out an app, which they claim to have optimized for the iPad. The app, which can be downloaded for free, is being said to be currently available in more than 30 global languages. Hotels.com claims that the iPad application would enable the users to search and book as many as 140,000 hotels around the world. The app, among other features would also help users pick from 20,000 last minute deals, added the website. Additionally, it is being learnt that the app would allow users to look through 2.5 million user reviews and do last minute hotel bookings at the most convenient location.

The website, further goes on to add that the process of booking using the app is simple, and for this purpose, the keyboard, too has retained its 'below the screen' position. Using a swipe gesture, users can flick through the content of their choice on the app, which include – hotels, its photos, and user reviews on them, stated the official announcement. Among other features of the app is one sort and filter tool, which eases the search process. During the search, if the users want to save any search results, they could do so, too, adds the announcement.
Hotels.com users, and also the ones who're new can manage their accounts or sign in as guests and have those accounts synced to their iPads, adds Hotels.com. Interestingly, the website claims that the accounts synced can be accessed without any data connection, whatsoever. A feature called WelcomeRewards is also accessible using this app. On availing the loyalty program there, users can win a free night stay on every 10 nights booked.
