It's only been a couple of days since HP officially launched their iPad-sized tablet, the TouchPad. However, Boy Genius Report is now reporting (heh) that the TouchPad will release in June for an estimated price of $699 (Rs. 32,000).

Incoming this June?

The TouchPad runs on HP and Palm's webOS and is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 1.2 GHz processor. The tablet boasts of the standard features of a Light sensor, Accelerometer, Digital Compass (Magnetometer) and Gyroscope. The other specs are as follows:

  • 9.7-inch diagonal XGA capacitive, multitouch screen
  • Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n, A-GPS
  • Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR with A2DP
  • 1.3 megapixel front facing camera
  • 16 GB or 32 GB of internal storage
  • 3.5 mm headset/headphone/microphone jack

With those specs, that looks like a reasonable enough price, especially when compared to the $800 (Rs. 36,500) Motorola are pricing their Xoom tablet at.
