HP have launched a couple of new all-in-one desktop PCs, the TouchSmart 610 and the TouchSmart Elite 9300. The interesting thing about these devices is that they have touchscreen displays that can recline up to a 60-degree angle, making them a sort of an alternative for people who prefer to use tablets for work.
More importantly, these PCs will help developers who specialize in touchscreens, because it will allow them to test out their software before shipping them out. With the increased processing power of the all-in-ones when compared to tablets and smartphones, as well as the 23-inch screens which are huge compared to the mobile devices, they’re the ideal content creation and testing devices.
These PCs will be powered by the Windows 7 Operating System and will be able to connect to an online app store in which they can download applications for TouchSmarts, on top of the ones that already come bundled at purchase.
The TouchSmart 610 is being launched today in the US for a price of $899 (around Rs. 40,750) while the TouchSmart Elite 9300 is expected to come out in May.
