HTC India have put up a little teaser trailer on their Facebook page for the One X, which will launch in April. We don’t have any dates on the exact roll out yet, but that shouldn’t remain a mystery for too long. The One X will be the first phone to launch from HTC’s One series and will be their flagship offering that will sit somewhere between the HTC Sensation XE and the XL for now before both those phones get a price cut. The expected launch price for the One X in India is said to be under Rs.35,000, which sounds about right.

The One X will feature a massive 4.7-inch screen with a 720p resolution and will be running Ice Cream Sandwich, along with Sense 4.0 over the top. It will also be HTC’s first phone to be powered by Nvidia’s Tegra 3 SoC, giving it four cores, which should be enough for anything Google throws at us for the next two years, at least. It will have a gig of RAM to help with the day to day functioning and 8MP camera, capable of full HD video recording. The entire One series will feature Beats Audio enhancements and will probably come with the Beats Solo headset as well, like the one we saw in the Sensation XE and XL. In order to make sure you don’t run out of juice quickly, HTC have fitted the One X with a chunky 1800mAh battery, which hopefully should hold down the fort. Finally, NFC, DLNA nd HDMI complete the One X’s main feature set. HTC have a lot riding on their new series, given how their previous flagship (Sensation) received quite a bit of flak from the media and users. Will this be better than the Samsung Galaxy S III? Well, only time will tell.
