Despite being officially launched a month ago, there still doesn’t seem to be any sign of the HTC One being available through official channels. However, online shopping website Saholic is selling the handset for Rs 42,900 with a delivery time of 9 days. There also seems to be a 12-month manufacturer warranty for the device, so it seems to be official. However, other online shopping portals don’t seem to be selling the device just yet, with some of them saying “Coming Soon” and others straight away not listing it.
HTC One is still nowhere to be seen other than Saholic
Earlier this week, the company had told us that the handset would be in stores by the end of the second week of May, but a quick check in stores today has revealed that “official stock” is yet to arrive. However, the phone is still available unofficially in the grey market, where it has seen a price drop from last week’s Rs 51,000 to Rs 48,000. Of course, this route will not give buyers the bill and warranty for the smartphone. But retailers did inform us that stock is imminent and could arrive in staggered batches this week.
The Taiwanese manufacturer has made name for itself over the years by making great-looking smartphones with a meticulous attention to detail. The latest flagship, the HTC One, is a great example. Its design and the unibody construction have been universally praised, including in our review. And it’s a great device in terms of performance as well thanks to the Snapdragon 600 SoC.
