The HTC One X is a highly successful handset and continues to be one of the hottest selling flagship Android devices of 2012. Those under the impression that HTC is going to rest on the handset’s success and wait till next year to launch its successor may be in for a surprise. As per a report by Land of Droid, the website has come across a leaked benchmark of what appears to be the HTC One X+, a flagship droid from the house of HTC. It packs some interesting features such as an NVIDIA Tegra 3 chipset clocked at 1.7GHz, an HD display and is running on Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean.
A few important specifications revealed
The report states, “On Nenmark2 benchmark, an unpublished smartphone has appeared. The PM63100 or the HTC One X+. The handset is pretty much the same as the standard One X but features a 1.7 GHz processor and will run Android 4.1.1. The handset has the codename HTC Evitaire and will be introduced to the US on AT&T.”
Though the report doesn’t state much in terms of specifications, from the leaked screenshot we can see that it comes equipped with a resolution of 1280 x 720 giving it an HD display. The internal name for the handset is listed as HTC PM63100 but would most likely be launched as the One X+ when it is announced. Apart from the fact that it runs on Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean, a 1.7GHz processor and sports a NVIDIA Tegra 3 processor; there is nothing else known.
Though the display resolution has been mentioned, there is no word on what the screen size may actually be. The codename for this phone is ‘Evitareul’, which is similar to the codename for the One X, Evita. However, as is the case with HTC handsets, leaks are abundant and we could know more about this high end handset before it is unveiled.
The handset supposedly shares a lot of traits with the HTC One X. If you are not in the know, here is a quick lowdown for you. The One X is HTC’s current flagship smartphone. It uses a polycarbonate shell, making it ultra slim and durable. The screen is a Super LCD 2, which produces very good colour and comes very close to the quality of a Super AMOLED. The camera is definitely a highlight on the One X and the burst mode is second to none – even the S III doesn’t stand a chance when it comes to capturing images in quick succession. The One X, just like the rest of the One series, comes with Android 4.0 along with Sense 4.0 running on top.
