It appears that HTC’s latest dual-core sensation (pun intended) is out for grabs on Letsbuy.com for Rs. 30.699. This puts it smack against the Samsung Galaxy S II which also sells for a similar price. Both competitors have very similar offerings in terms of features, the only difference lies in the specifications and design.
Below are some of the specifications of the HTC Sensation:
- OS: Google Android 2.3
- Processor: 1.2 GHz dual core (Qualcomm MSM 8260 Snapdragon), Adreno 220 GPU
- Camera: 8.0 MP camera with 1080p video recording
- Wireless: Wi-Fi b/g/n
- Screen: 4.3-inch qHD Super LCD screen
- HTC Sense 3.0 interface
The main areas where the Sensation trumps the SGS II is the higher resolution screen and an aluminum body . However, the SGS II is lighter, slimmer, has more internal storage, larger battery and finally an unlocked boot loader making installing custom ROMs a breeze with very less chance of bricking your phone. Both are excellent phones though and you can’t go wrong with either of them. In the end it all boils down to personal preference, the Sense UI has worked wonders for HTC and this new revision makes it even better but on the other hand it’s hard to ignore the Super AMOLED Plus screen of the SGS II which more than compensates for their Touch Wiz UI.
