We’re on the verge of the Windows Phone 7 OS and although a few hands on videos with Samsung devices seem to have made it out, HTC has also got their hat in the ring. Although the new OS talks of a UI experience that is quite unique, HTC has thoughts of incorporating their famous Sense UI into the mix said one report.
As interesting as that sounds, what’s even more so is that a yet to be announced HTC touchscreen device popped up running the new Microsoft Mobile OS. There are no official specs or details of the handset just yet but according to some reports the mysterious device features a 3.7 inch SLCD display, 8MP shooter with an LED flash and in all likelihood sport a 1GHz Snapdragon processor. The front buttons, like the Nexus One, will be touch sensitive. However, this device didn’t seem to feature Sense-UI.
Samsung is calling its Windows Phone 7 device ‘Cetus’ with the model number being – i917. It will be equipped with a 4-inch AMOLED touchscreen sporting a 480 x 800 pixel resolution and also feature a 5 MP camera with a secondary camera (VGA) in front for video calls.
So the waiting continues but it won’t be too long now till we see a Windows Phone 7 device in an official capacity.
