Huawei has been teasing its upcoming phone, dubbed the Ascend P6, quite a bit on its official Twitter account. The company has posted a couple of pictures that give us glimpses of the handset’s back, side and packaging. All of this is undoubtedly an attempt to build up hype for the company’s upcoming event on June 18, where it plans to unveil the smartphone.
The pictures show the phone to be quite sleek. It seems to have a metallic unibody with a matte finish back. Looking at the phone from side, it seems to be very sleek. We can also see that it has two slots for trays, one of which will be for a SIM card and the other will be for a microSD card.
The smartphone has an incredibly slim profile
It looks a lot like an iPhone with the metal band on the side and the unibody. The phone even seems to have similar placement for the camera as the iPhone 5.
The Huawei Ascend P6 is rumoured to have a 4.7-inch display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. It is expected to run on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean out of the box. The dimensions of the smartphones are rumoured to measure 132.7 x 65.5 x 6.5 mm, giving the smartphone an extremely slim profile.
Even the packaging is quite thin
Under the hood, it is rumoured to run on a 1.5GHz quad-core processor designed by Huawei. Other features include 2GB of RAM, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 3.0. All of this is expected to be kept alive by a 2000 mAh battery.
