The Indian Government, in its move to keep tabs on its citizens, has given RIM a deadline of the end of the month to comply with its demands. The Indian government basically wants access to encrypted Blackberry Messenger email and traffic.

The Government made these demands back in 2008 and RIM hasn't given in yet. In the meantime, even the UAE has made statements of the uncertainty of safety of the Blackberry.
