Game bundles seem to be all the rage these days, and it was all started by the first major bundle to make record sales – the Humble Bundle. Now, the newest edition of the Indie Royale bundle is available that offers five games. The games in the new Indie Royale bundle are The Dream Machine: Chapters 1-3, Puzzle Agent 2, Children of the Nile: Enhanced Edition, Anomaly: Warzone Earth, and Adventure Apes and the Mayan Mystery.
While the bundle is pay what you want, it does give a special extra for those who pay more than $8 (approximately Rs 440) for the bundle – Tree of Knowledge. The Dream Machine: Chapters 1-3, Puzzle Agent 2, and Anomaly: Warzone Earth are multiplatform games with the first two being available for PC and Mac, and the third being also available on Linux. Along with the games, the soundtracks of Children of the Nile and Adventure Apes and the Mayan Mystery are also part of the bundle. In order to prevent people from buying the games for 1 cent, the Indie Royale bundle has a minimum price of the average that has been paid so far. At the time of writing, the current minimum price is $5.43 (approximately Rs 300).
Recently, the latest Humble Bundle for Android had been released. The Humble Bundle is a pay-what-you-want deal where you get a collection of games for the price you decide. One part of the price goes to the developers, one part to the Humble Bundle, and one part to charity. You decide how big each part is. At the time of writing, the highest price paid for the Humble Bundle for Android 4 has been $1,000, with the Bundle having raised $417,200.
The latest Indie Royale bundle
The games in the latest Humble Bundle for Android are Splice, Eufloria, Walking Mars, Crayon Physics Deluxe, and Superbrothers: Swords and Sworcery EP. Paying above the average price – which at the time of writing is $6.60 – will net you the adventure game Machinarium. On buying the games, you get access to all versions of the games for all platforms, including PC, Mac, Linux, and in this case, Android. The games are all free from any digital rights management (DRM) so you can make as many copies of the games as you like. Along with the games, you also get the soundtracks for the games.
Earlier this year, the Humble Bundle V had managed to raise $1 million in five hours. The pack included games such as Amnesia: The Dark Descent, LIMBO, Psychonauts, Bastion and Superbrothers: Sword & Sworcery EP. If you buy these games separately through Steam or anywhere else, it would cost you around $110 but Humble Bundle leaves the final price up to you.
We highly recommend you support indie game developers as these are some of the most creative and imaginative games out there. As they don’t have big publishers such as EA or Activision backing them, many of them go unnoticed.
