A new and what I find pretty useful application for the iPhone is out. It's called DropPhox and it essentially connects your iPhone photos to your Dropbox account. You take pictures directly through the application (although, you can upload them from your photo albums as well) and the application sends the photos directly to Dropbox. Therefore, needless to say, you need a Dropbox account for this application to do its job. The transfer starts as soon as you click the picture and if you're going clickety-click several times a minute, the application uploads all your pictures simultaneously.

The application works with 3G and/or Wifi. If you're not connected to either of these, you still will be able to take pictures through the application and the upload will commence as soon as your phone detects a 3G or Wifi signal. The application will allow you to save the pictures you take through the application to your phone as well. As with the regular camera application on the phone, DropPhox supports video, touch-focus and flash through its camera. DropPhox sells in the App Store for $1.99 (Rs. 89.18). It supports iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4 and the 4th generation iPod Touch, requiring iOS 3.0 or later.
