The wait is finally over! It may have taken nearly a year since the iPhone 4 was launched worldwide but India will now be receiving the iPhone 4. According to posts by retail website Flipkart.com, 4 versions of the iPhone 4 are up for pre-order in India. This comes as good news to all looking to purchase the iPhone and according to the website; Indian customers will be able to book both colours – black as well as white versions of the model.

India has been termed the ‘dumping ground’ for Apple products but with the launch of the white iPhone less than a month ago; India will receive this as version, as well. The iPhone may have taken some time to be available in India, but with most carriers unveiling their 3G services here, the trend is slowly changing with the iPad 2 launching in India, just a month and a half after it was launched in the U.S. The pricing of the iPhone 4 16GB is Rs. 34,500 while the 32GB variant will be available for Rs. 40,900. Further to this, the Apple iPhone will come with an Apple India warranty of up to a year. No word is there on the site as to how much it costs to pre-order the handset but there is a ‘Notify Me’ option where one can fill in their email addresses and Flipkart.com will notify those interested in purchasing the Apple iPhone 4 when it becomes available.
