If there’s something missing from all those iPod Touch games, it’s got to be the force feedback. Well, we’re talking about vibrations you get while playing a game, a la the Dualshock or an Xbox 360 controller. Mophie Pulse has come out with this cool iPod Touch case that lets you feel the game with its feedback and external speaker.
You’re left guessing as to how it works, right? Well, the case uses Reflex Technology which listens to a game’s in-built crash or shooting sounds. Once it does capture the sound, it responds with a vibration, so the gamer can actually feel that car collide into a wall or that Nazi soldier shoot a dreaded MP-40 bullet in your arm!
Being an external case, the problem is that your iPod Touch loses its slim form-factor. However, the texture of the case lets you get a good grip on the device, important for many gamers.
If you want to buy it, you’ll have to wait for a while. There is no mention of the launch date and no word on the price either. Let’s hope this is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to gaming stuff we'll see at CES 2011.
