Samsung is believed to be working on Galaxy Pro series of tablets that includes a 12.2-inch, 8.4-inch and 10.1-inch display sizes. The 12.2-inch tablet among these is likely to be called the Galaxy Note Pro and an alleged snapshot of the device is circulating on the web, courtesy South Korean website cdpkorea.
First spotted by SamMobile, the image shows the backside of a large tablet that’s placed in landscape position. The tablet appears to be really sleek and one can also notice Samsung’s leather-like material on the back, with visible seams, along with a rear camera. The tablet is also rumoured to support S-pen abilities. There is no confirmation whatsoever about this being a Samsung device and even the source has taken down the image. As the leaked image shows the rear side of the device, we are not sure whether the tablet runs Android or Windows 8/RT, but our money's on the former.
Galaxy Note Pro leaked…
Whether it’s the new Note or not, looks like a large 10-inch-plus tablet is in the making and could reach us anytime soon. In fact 12-inch seems to have become the favourite tablet size among manufacturers, considering even Apple is rumoured to be building one.
If it’s the Galaxy Note 12.2, then we may not be too far away from an official announcement. Earlier reports that Samsung plans to launch the Galaxy Pro 8.4 and 12.2 variants in the second week of February, followed by the 10.1 model in the third week. It is also speculated that Samsung may announce these devices at the CES 2014. Along with these tablets, the company is also said to launch the Galaxy Tab 3 lite sometime in the first week of January.
