In what seems to be among the most novel ways of social networking usages is the move taken by the Israeli government. So, what happens when a country, in today’s times receives a threat to its peace and sanctity? According to the Israeli Foreign Ministry, a bunch of individuals were found to have declared on several internet sites that they were in plans of wreaking havoc in the country on arrival.

On learning about their plans, the government got down to action almost immediately. Using Facebook to their benefit, the officials put down a list of blacklisted pro-Palestinians, which came down to a long list. Since then, the government has been notifying foreign airlines to keep their passenger list free of the blacklisted names; many others were barred from boarding flights bound to Tel Aviv from Europe, several others had to undergo hours of questioning on their arrival at the main airport.

Israel has been taking very strong preventive measures to avoid any more disturbances to the country and the internet, especially Facebook is being used in a most novel way.
