As one of the most leaked handsets this year, we have a fair bit of idea about the specs of the Sony Xperia ZU, or Togari, as it is codenamed. A new set of screenshots leaked on XDA Developers shows a system info app running on the phone. The information, if true, reveals a full HD display and a Snapdragon 800 SoC. Sony has an event scheduled on June 25, when it is expected to announce the ZU, and it will be one of the first in the world to use the top-end Qualcomm SoC.
The screenshots show the phone running on Android 4.2.2, making it the first Sony Xperia smartphone to sport that version of the OS. Besides the quad-core processor, the SoC also has an Adreno 330 GPU, which is the latest in that line of GPUs. Then there’s 16GB of storage and 2GB of RAM, all of which are in line with previous rumours.

The screenshots also reveal that the ZU will come with an estimated 6.21-inch display with a 1080 x 1824 resolution. The missing 96 pixels from the 1920 x 1080 full HD specs are explained by the presence of on-screen navigation buttons, something that’s becoming common on Sony’s phones. Earlier rumours said the Xperia ZU would come with a 6.44-inch, 1080p Triluminos display, which could still be a possibility. In any case, the screen size is comfortably larger than the Galaxy Note 2, LG Optimus G Pro and even the 6.1-inch Huawei Ascend Mate, which was just launched in India. The only smartphone with a display larger than the estimate 6.21 inches is the Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3, but it’s only marginally larger.
What the actual specs of the phone will be is unconfirmed at the moment, but these screenshots do get us closer to the final answer. Earlier, teasers by the company have also revealed that a stylus will be coming with the Togari, and it will bring some interesting Note-like applications for doodling, sketching and taking notes.
