For those not in the know, there’s a MeeGo Conference scheduled from May 23-25 in San Fransisco. Today, it was revealed that LG will have a strong presence in the conference, and will present a few prototype MeeGo products.

Time for some ARM twisting, perhaps?

MeeGoing to San Fransisco

According to the schedule, LG will “show LGE MeeGo proto devices and present porting experience of MeeGo 1.2 into multiple LG devices”. In addition, it also said LG will “present how LGE's works on MeeGo proto devices and how/what LGE will contribute for the future of MeeGo platform. Also some proposal on SW architecture will be presented. This session will include demonstration of prototype devices”.

We’re certainly excited for this, because this kind of came out of left field. LG had so far not shown any intention of manufacturing MeeGo devices, so this is a pleasant surprise. Hopefully the prototypes shown off are of the decent sort. We're certainly looking forward to May 25 to see if they are.
