It's raining 3D for the folks at LG today, as we saw earlier with the showing up of LG's Optimus 3D smartphone which will boast of glasses-free 3D and 3D cameras. Now it's the LG's G-Slate turn, which was also spotted in a Korean music video last week.
A Youtube user, MysteryGuitarMan has posted a video in which he showcases the G-Slate for about a milli-second, saying “and there are some special things that have 3D cameras in the back.” This seems to be an even stronger indication that the G-Slate will indeed include 3D support.
The G-Slate has a dual-core Tegra 2 processor at its heart, a front-facing camera and an 8.9-inch touchscreen that runs at a resolution of 1280×720, all this on an Android 3.0 Honeycomb operating system. Apart from this, it's also fitted with HDMI and micro-USB ports.
The LG G-Slate is expected to come out this month in the US, locked to T-Mobile at first. We certainly hope the tablet and the Optimus 3D make it to our shores, because glassless 3D on a portable device is a pretty cool concept. Nintendo's 3DS portable gaming console also boasts of the feature and might end up being the actual litmus test for the technology.
Anyway, check out the video below.
