Furthering this thought, popular Indian mobile service provider, Loop mobile has launched a mobile health messaging service which will assist its subscribers to quit the habit completely, as also stay at it whole-heartedly for those who have already quit it. The service, in partnership with PurpleTeal Technologies India Private Limited will be a stream of text messages, in the form of messages, tips, hints and other information to help them stay motivated, and keep themselves away from tobacco addiction.
The service, called QuitSmoke will be available for Rs. 10 per week. The service will last for duration of 24 weeks, comprising of an initial 8 week phase, followed by two of such 8 week phases. In order to subscribe to the service, users will have to send “QS” to 50505 (prepaid) or 50800 (postpaid).
