The Mail for Exchange app has arrived on a bunch of entry-level Nokia Asha phones – Asha 308, Asha 309, Asha 310 and Asha 311, making them great devices for work too, claims Nokia

The app, which is available for free download on the Nokia Store, uses Microsoft's Exchange ActiveSync protocol. The Mail for Exchange app allows push email, calendar and contact data synchronisation between compatible office email servers and the user's Asha phone. The app will sync users' work emails, calendar and contacts directly to their phone.

It should be noted that Asha phones do not support Office, but that said, Nokia draws our attention to two apps – Editori Text and Editori Sheet – that claim to give users an experience similar to Word and Excel on their phones. Editori Text allows users to view and edit Word documents. It also comes with formatting options, like italics, bold and colours. It recognises URLs and lets users view embedded images and tables. The Editori Sheet app, which offers Excel spreadsheets-like functionality, lets users edit text within each cell, view the sheet in varying sizes and save the documents to their phone's memory card.
