New Delhi: After launching its first 3D phone on 30 April, Micromax today launched another phone as part of its Canvas series,the Canvas Music A88. This is being touted by the company as a music phone which provides the user an experience which “can shake anything”.
“One of the key focus areas for Micromax is to build a strong connect with the consumers by bringing alive brand experiences through our innovative product line up. The launch of Canvas Music A88 reflects the same,” Shubhodip Pal, CMO, Micromax said.
The phone which was showcased at the Micromax MTV Video Music Awards in Mumbai last month, has been manufactured in association with the headphones brand JBL – whose brand ambassador is music composer-singer AR Rehman – and comes with a free JBL Tempo headse.
Packed with a 1800 mAh battery with a talk time of 5 hours . It comes with a 4.5-inch touchscreen display, a 5 megapixel rear camera with Flash and a 0.3MP front camera.
It runs on the 4.1 Jelly bean OS, a 1GHz dual core processor and has an expandable storage capacity of up to 32GB.
Users of the Canvas Music A88 will also be able to download unlimited songs through MLive! – Micromax’s applications store.
Saying that the company wanted to create an entire music ecosystem by powering the smartphone, Ajay Sharma Country Head Smartphone Division, Micromax said, “Canvas Music A88 coupled with JBL headset and unlimited songs download via MLive! Application serves as a perfect offering to the youth echoing our vision of providing a fulfilling entertainment experience to all the music and multimedia lovers.”
The Canvas Music A88 which comes at a maximum retail price of Rs. 8,499 will be available retail outlets in India from tomorrow (16th May) and on the company’s website.
