Recently, there were rumours doing the rounds that an Alan Wake sequel might be in the works, but it looks like Remedy have squashed those rumours. However, fans of Alan Wake shouldn’t be too disappointed, because they have also confirmed that more Alan Wake is indeed incoming.
Show us what you've got, Remedy
“Fans of the franchise will be excited to learn that yes, more Wake is coming! But to be absolutely certain to avoid confusion, this next Wake instalment will not be Alan Wake 2. And neither will it be DLC. The rest we're saving for our official announcement when we'll actually show you,” Remedy's head of franchise development Oskari Hakkinen told Eurogamer. He also added, “It's something that'll definitely give more to the Wake fans out there, but just as importantly, this instalment will also give an opportunity for players who aren't familiar with the franchise to finally jump on board.”
An E3 reveal is probably a good guess for now, but what exactly will it turn out to be? Will it be the previously scrapped PC version, or a version that’ll take advantage of Kinect the same way Heavy Rain came out with a Move version? We’ll just have to wait to find out.
