Time for your daily dose of tablets! Andy Rubin has got some competition when it comes to showing off a Tablet and from what we hear, it’s some random guy from Taiwan. He (let's call him Mr. X) apparently had a one hour hands-on preview of the Motorola Tablet, and it certainly looks like that way from the picture.
The tablet from Motorola is supposed to have two versions, with one having a 7-inch screen while another having a 10-incher (probably the one that Rubin showed off at the D: event). The one in this picture has a 1280 x 800 display. The speculative features also talk about a 5 megapixel main camera and a 2 megapixel front camera. The device looks to have an Nvidia Tegra 2 T20 dual-core chip and a gyroscope as well. The tablet might have an embedded 32 GB MMC memory with a microSD card slot.
Mr. X feels that the device is quite a light-weight champion, although the Honeycomb that it carries might require some cleaning from the worker bees! Mr. X doesn’t talk about a launch date, but the price should be something like one of the Motorola top-end phones. So, all we can do is wait and watch, and check whether Mr. X really has some psychic powers or not.
