Huawei have announced the IDEOS X3 smartphone and the IDEOS S7 Slim tablet at the Mobile World Congress, which you can’t say you didn’t see coming. The IDEOS X3 will be the first of Huawei’s phones to come loaded with Google’s Android 2.3 Gingerbread Operating System out of the box, whereas the IDEOS S7 Slim will be a 7-inch tablet powered by Android 2.2 Froyo.
The X3 will feature a 3.2-inch HVGA (320×480) touchscreen, a 3.2 megapixel camera, a micro USB port, Wi-Fi support and the ability to expand storage up to 16GB. The S7 will be a 7-inch capacitive touchscreen device running at a resolution of 800×480, will have a 3.2 megapixel camera and will support 3G, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.
The IDEOS X3 will be available starting next month, whereas the S7 Slim is expected to be out in April. While the former will be price at less than $200 (Rs. 9,000), pricing details for the S7 Slim haven’t been revealed yet.
