We’ve got some fresh news from the Asus camp at the MWC in Barcelona. Asus have launched three new devices – the Transformer Pad Infinity 700, the Transformer Pad 300 and the Padfone. Let’s quickly have a look at the offerings. The Transformer Pad Infinity 700 will be their new flagship Android tablet. The 4G LTE model comes with the Qualcomm MSM 8960 Snapdragon S4 Krait Dual-core 1.5GHz processor. The Wi-Fi model features the NVIDIA Tegra 3 quad-core processor. 

Here are the rest of the available specs for the 700:

  • 10.1-inch Super IPS Plus display with a resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels
  • 1.6 GHz Tegra 3 quad core processor
  • Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich
  • 16/ 32/ 64 GB internal memory
  • 8 megapixel rear camera, 2 megapixel front camera

The Transformer

The next one is a different variant of their Transformer series of tablets. The design isn't drastically different, but the insides have been changed a little. It will also be available in both Wi-Fi and 3G versions. Here’s what the available specs for the Transformer Pad 300 look like:

  • 10.1-inch IPS display with a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels
  • NVIDIA Tegra 3 quad core processor
  • Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich
  • 1GB RAM, 16GB internal memory
  • 8 megapixel rear camera, 1.2 megapixel front camera

The Padfone has been in and out of the news and is finally seeing the light of the day, it seems. Here’s a reminder on the spec sheet for the Padfone:

  • 4.3-inch Super AMOLED qHD display
  • Dual core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor
  • Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich
  • 1GB RAM, 16/ 32/ 64GB internal memory 
  • 8MP rear camera with LED flash, VGA front camera
  • 1520 mAh battery

The tablet part will have the following specs:

  • 10.1-inch display with a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels
  • Micro USB, micro HDMI
  • 1.3 megapixel front camera

For those of you’ll who have forgotten, the Padfone was spotted way back at Computex 2011. They’ve bumped up the specs and it will be released soon. Details on the pricing and availability hasn’t been disclosed, as of now, but we’ll keep you in the loop as and when we get more details.
