Nokia is suddenly in the limelight, since the past few days, at least with plenty of devices getting leaked left, right and center. First the N9, then the N950 and just today, we caught a glimpse of the first Windows Phone 7 based device codenamed ‘Sea Ray’ straight from the horse's mouth. Just a few hours back though, there has been yet another apparent leak from the Nokia camp. This time around a rather mysterious Nokia phone has appeared and the true leak is that it appears to be running Android Gingerbread (see pic 2 with verticle battery meter)!
Is this the real deal?
The candy bar phone is a spitting image of the N9. Could this be simply a prototype that Nokia was working on earlier or could it be an early engineering sample from an unannounced Android lineup? Wishful thinking? One can never tell these days. With Nokia switching to Windows Phone 7 and the recent rumor of MeeGo support for Android apps, it’s very plausible this could soon be a reality. On the other hand it could simply be someone who's managed to install the Android OS on a Meego phone. It's been done with an iPhone so why not MeeGo right?
Looks similar to 'Sea Ray'
If Nokia's seriously looking to make a big come back, launching what seems like a singular device i.e. the N9 in variants with multiple OS' to cater to all communities, doesn't seem like the way to go. In any case, only time will tell, till then read more about it here.
