NASA has invited student teams between grades 9 to 12 from schools across the United States to send in proposals for experiments, to the NASA Glenn Research Center by the 11th of February. Students can choose experiments on any topic starting from bacterial studies to weather observations. NASA will announce the results of the top eight proposals on the 4th of March.
A chance to participate in a mission with NASA
The top four proposals will visit the Glenn Research Centre between the 18th and 20th of May, and get a fund of $1,000 to design these experiments. The experiments will be carried to the edge of space by helium weather balloons. The experiments will then be retrieved and the results of the experiments will then be presented on the 23rd of May. The other four teams will also be given $1,000 as funding for their experiments. The aim of this exercise is to improve interest in science and technology among students.
