Naukri.com, the job search portal has released mobile applications for iOS, Android and BlackBerry OS-based smartphones, allowing users to apply to jobs using their smartphones. According to Techcircle, the apps released are available for free and the company also released an HTML site for users with smartphones running on other platforms. Info Edge, the company behind Naukri.com released a statement saying, “Both the mobile app and the site is enriched with features which allow jobseekers to filter job openings by location, keywords, functional area, experience bracket and minimum expected salary. Also, users can create up to five custom job alerts on the basis of the search criterion defined by them.”

Users can apply to jobs directly from the mobile applications and the HTML site. Naukri.com also simplifies the job search process a little by providing recommendations when the user logs in to the site, based on the information they entered when he or she created his or her profile. Furthermore, Naukri.com also sends job alerts directly to users' inboxes, three times a week.
Additionally, users can edit their Naukri.com profiles directly from the app and/or the HTML website. Users can also check how many employers have looked at their resumes and which companies they had applied to for jobs already. It doesn't look like employers can upload jobs to the portal using the mobile apps or mobile site, yet, but the response time to their job ads can be considerably reduced by jobseekers applying from their smartphones. iOS users can go to the App Store to download the Naukri.com app for free for their iDevices running iOS 3.1 and higher. Android users can go to the Android Market and BlackBerry users, can go to the App World.
