Gearbox has released a new trailer for its upcoming FPS game, Aliens: Colonial Marines. The trailer gives us a glimpse of the game's story, and judging by the events, it looks like it's going to make heavy use of the Aliens mythos.

According to the trailer, the story involves the titular colonial marines responding to a distress call on the USS Sulaco. The game is set to focus heavily on narrow level design, causing paranoia in the players thanks to the Xenomorphs' ability to kill quickly.

Earlier this month, it was revealed that the Limited Edition for Aliens: Colonial Marines will be released in India on launch day. The limited edition includes four movie characters that will be playable in the multiplayer, Ripley’s iconic flamethrower as a weapon and more options for customising your marines. The limited edition will be the Day One Edition in India.

The game gives you a plethora of unique features: you can enlist in the Colonial Marine Corps, which helps you get tooled up with classic Colonial Marine weapons, including pulse rifles, motion trackers and flamethrowers. You can also Drop-in/Drop-out of co-operative gameplay. The game also includes competitive multiplayer with loadouts and upgrades. You can earn experience to get perks, new weapons and new looks for your squad.

Come at me bro

Xenomorphs are not to be trifled with

Pre-orders for the game started back in September, when Gearbox showed off the Collector's Edition bundle. The Collector’s Edition bundle of the game will come with a figurine of a Power Loader, a US Colonial Marines Dossier that has a bunch of paperwork on the characters, exclusive multiplayer weapons, an exclusive bonus level and other goodies.

In September, Gearbox released a trailer for the game that showed off a multiplayer game mode—Escape. The Escape mode seems a lot like Versus from the Left 4 Dead games, where four players step in the shoes of the Marines and are trying to escape from some facility, while four players act as the aliens, called Xenomorphs, whose objective is to kill the Marines. The trailer also shows off some of the special Xenomorphs that will be playable, including the Xeno lurker, which uses stealth to pounce on unsuspecting marines from the shadows and the Xeno spitter, which has the ability to spit out pools of acid where the marines are standing.

Here’s a summary of the game’s plot according to the developers: “Aliens: Colonial Marines begins with an ostensibly abandoned ship, the U.S.S. Sulaco, recovered in orbit around LV-426. Players lead a group of highly trained United States Colonial Marines as they board the deserted craft to uncover the fate of the crew. They will have to fight to survive unspeakable horrors and their own anxieties as they chase down the truth behind a galaxy-spanning deception that places humanity at the mercy of the most murderous and deadly species in the universe. Aliens: Colonial Marines features authentic environments, such as the surface of LV-426 and Hadley’s Hope, weapons inspired by the film series and is designed to provide an exhilarating and engaging new chapter in the Aliens universe.”
