LinkedIn has launched a button that will make applying for jobs a little easier. With this “Apply With LinkedIn” button, users can apply for jobs by submitting their LinkedIn profile as their resume. The company says that this button was introduced to make applying for a job as easy as a click. They're calling this process “the future of job applications”. The button is very much like a Facebook 'Like' button or a Twitter 'tweet' button. Once you've sent your LinkedIn profile (without a cover letter, mind you!), you have the option to message your contacts at the company and ask for a referral.

Jobs that you've applied to can be viewed under the “Saved Jobs” tab. Applicants can always double check to see which companies have their applications. For companies receiving applications via this LinkedIn button, it's very easy to integrate with a few lines of code and create a uniform system of receiving job applications. The idea behind this feature now is that resumes are outdated and static. A professional profile on a social network is a lot easier to gain information on applicants, as well as a dynamic way to apply for jobs.
