Here’s something for all of you who are expecting to see the Nokia-Microsoft partnership do some wonders for the Finnish company. Apparently, Nokia is holding an event in Athens, Greece on the 17th of May and they just might reveal some smartphones running on Microsoft’s Windows phone 7.

The invite says “Save the Date 2011.05.17 @ 20:00 Athens” which definitely confirms that they have something up their sleeves. However, there’s no hint of a Windows Phone 7 smartphone being unveiled or something of that sort. It’s just an assumption that the common man might get a glimpse of some new fresh hardware!

Their previous event last month had Symbian smartphones and now this. So will they fortify their smartphone range now? Or will it be some standard fare? We’ll have to wait for a week to get our answers to that!
