Nokia and progressive house music artist Deadmau5 reunited once again earlier this week, and just like the first time they joined hands in November last year, the event was nothing short of epic. Nokia had a live stream of the event and if by chance you had missed it, the video below will show you what went down when Deamau5 and Nokia hit London.
In this video, the focus was on lights, and everyday things like street lights, garbage cans, headlamps, frames of windows, etc. were all lit up in a spectacular fashion.
Nokia stated that with the latest smartphones featuring the best low-light imaging as well as the Nokia Music app (with an exclusive deadmau5 playlist), this was the perfect way to celebrate the launch of the Nokia Lumia 920 and Lumia 820. The crowd at Flat Iron Square in Southwark was treated to an array of lights, a few surprises and a set from deadmau5.
Lit up the streets!
Every facet of the square was rigged with specially developed software so that it would appear as if the square was being 'played' like a musical instrument.
Last year, in November, Nokia hosted what could easily be described as one of the biggest (literally and figuratively) launch parties in London. Deadmau5, one of the world's leading DJs in the electro and house genres, was brought in to launch the Lumia 800, last year’s flagship Windows Phone from Nokia. A large 4D light show at the event was focused on the 120-metre-high Millbank Tower. A total of 16 projectors using 4D projection mapping technology were placed over 300 metres away in the front of the building. In order for the visuals to be vibrant, the entire front of the building, which has a total of 800 windows, was covered with vinyl. The theme was focused on 'tiles' to bring in a device whose user interface (UI) was based on tiles.
The flagship handset, the Nokia Lumia 920 includes the Nokia PureView camera, which the company claims captures five times more light than competing smartphones. It gives bright pictures without flash, even indoors, and at night. It also features built-in wireless charging, making it easy to keep the battery topped up throughout the day, as well as a better-than-HD display.
