Nokia fans hear up, the Finnish company will be coming out with a MeeGo-based smartphone after all. While Intel demoed the OS on a tablet at the MWC, there were earlier rumours of the N9 coming with MeeGo, but then Nokia changed their mind.
MeeGoing to Connect?
At Nokia's Developers Day, CTO Rich Green said Nokia will be launching the N950 which runs on MeeGo and is a successor to the N900. He also spoke about the future of the current platforms that they’re using which also includes MeeGo. He’s also said that Nokia is working on some “very elegant” hardware and an interesting UI for the N950.
So there’s good news for Nokia fans after all. We certainly hope that MeeGo has many different features to boast of, at least some different from the Windows Phone 7 OS that they plan to use as their primary operating system. We just hope that the N950 does make it to the shelves unlike the N9.
