More and more news is pouring in about Nokia Windows Phones and their impending release and now we have an approximate release date. Nokia India M.D Mr. D. Shivakumar has mentioned in an interview with the Economic Times that the phones will arrive in the first quarter of next year. Besides this, an Airtel poster or advertisement has also been leaked that further confirms this rumour. That puts to rest the somewhat funny/weird names that were coming up as rumours. Airtel and Nokia have had a long-term partnership and hence there’s little chance that this particular piece of news is false. The rumoured specs for the Nokia 800 include a 3.7-inch AMOLED screen, Windows Phone Mango 7.5, 1.4GHz processor and 16GB of inbuilt memory. That pretty much nails it as far as hardware and software is concerned. Seems like exciting times are up ahead for Nokia and their Windows Phones. We’ll keep you posted when more details are available.
