If you are thrilled about the various little appearances that the Nokia X7 has made, it’s quite likely that you’re contemplating to get one for yourself. The good news is that the X7 might just come to India, sometime next month.
The Mobile Indian apparently had a Nokia spokesperson tell them that the X7 will be coming to India in this quarter of 2011. If that has to be believed then we’ll be seeing the smartphone, latest in June which is probably the time when they’ll be launching the handset globally.
In India from next month…
The X7 will be running on Nokia’s latest Symbian Anna OS and is powered by an ARM 11 processor clocking 680 MHz. The smartphone has an internal memory of 1 GB and 256 MB RAM. A further look under the X7’s hood gives us the following specifications of the handset:
4-inch AMOLED touchscreen encased in Gorilla Glass
3G, Wi-Fi, GPS with A-GPS support, GPRS/EDGE
Bluetooth 3.0 with A2DP
8 megapixel camera with Fixed Focus and Dual LED Flash
Memory expandable up to 32 GB, 8 GB included
Stereo FM Radio with RDS
3.5 mm audio jack
The camera has features like geo-tagging and face detection and has Quickoffice document viewer pre-loaded. Also it has Adobe Reader and Flash Lite 4.0 built in. There’s support for media files like DivX, XviD, MP4 and H.264 for videos and MP3, WMV and WAV for audio.
Now there’s no real mention about the pricing of the device. We only know that it’s priced at 380 Euros (approx Rs. 25,000) but will be raised once it touches Indian shores.
