The world is going gaga over tablets and everyone’s more than happy to agree that they are the future. But not everyone’s happy about it. NVIDIA CEO, Jen-Hsun expressed his concerns about the pricing of current tablets. He said that they were expensive and Android cheaper tablets were required.

Meanwhile, Apple tablets continue to dominate the market holding majority of the market share. The launch of the recent Android tablets hasn’t seen the same response, experts say. NVIDIA’s contribution to the tablet market comes in the form of Tegra, which is being usd to power some of the popular Android-based tablets such as the Motorola Xoom, Acer Iconia A500 and many others.  He said that tablets should be sold in a Wi-Fi configuration as they are cheaper and they sell better than the full-spec 3G versions. Currently, most of the powerful Android tablets are priced at around the same price or higher than the iPad 2. He also raised concerns over the number of applications for the Honeycomb tablets, but he said that these issues were being addressed.
