Microchip designer company, NVIDIA, yesterday announced the resignation of its Chief Financial Officer, David White. Citing personal reasons, David White has made for Corporate Controller Karen Burns.
Karen Burns will take up the responsibilities of David, until NVIDIA finds a replacement. She previously headed the company’s tax department. Before working for Nvidia, Also, she spent nine years in tax and audit roles with the accounting firm KPMG International.
David White has been roped in to manage a smaller position in the company to make things easier for the new CFO. David White began his stint at NVIDIA in February 2009. He was previously employed with Sanmina-SCI Corporation.
Post the announcement, shares fell 2.1 per cent, to $17.29, in early after-hours trading. The company’s stock fell 22 per cent in the last month. NVIDIA has been doing really well, especially after its billion dollar deal with Intel wherein the companies exchanged patent rights and ended a long standing turmoil.
