Nvidia has launched a new graphics card in its new GeForce 700 series. The new card – the GTX 770 – is priced at Rs 29,990. Performance wise it is meant to be a more affordable and slightly more efficient version of the GTX 680. The card is available with suppliers such as Asus, Zotac and Galaxy.

The GTX 770 is said to use the same Nvidia Kepler architecture as the GTX Titan and the GTX 780, which was launched earlier this month.

“Only Nvidia GPUs consistently provide gamers with the ability to achieve extremely fast frame rates at high-definition resolutions with all of the eye candy turned on,” said General Manager of GeForce GPU at Nvidia Scott Herkelman. “The GeForce GTX 770 represents a new threshold of performance and features for under $400 and our commitment to PC gaming is why GeForce GPUs continue to be the No 1 choice of gamers worldwide.”

According to Nvidia, the card can deliver smooth framerates in upcoming games, including Call of Duty: Ghosts, Watch Dogs and Battlefield 4. The card boasts a Kepler GPU with 1536 cores and comes in two variants – 4GB and 2GB – of GDDR5 memory.

The GeForce GTX 770 GPU also supports Nvidia's gaming technologies, including the PhysX physics engine, Nvidia TXAAanti-aliasing and the GeForce Experience software, which delivers drivers for gaming, advanced features like Nvidia ShadowPlay and optimal playable settings with single click operation. The card also works well with Nvidia's SLI technology, which is essentially technology that allows you to run a multi-GPU setup.
