Onkyo has decided to jump in early and has announced their version of the Android tablet. The TA117 will be available in two models – the TA117C3 and TA117C1, with both sporting a 10-inch (1024 x 600) touch screen. It will be powered by NVIDIA’s 1Ghz Tegra 2 processor and will run on Android 2.2 (Froyo).
Both models will have WiFi, Bluetooth 2.1, a microSD expansion slot, USB 2.0 connectivity and HDMI out. Completing the set of features is a 1.3 MP front facing camera for video calling. But this is where the similarities end – what differentiates the two models is the amount of RAM and storage space both carry. The TA117C1 will have 512MB of DDR2 RAM and 8GB of internal storage while the TA117C3 has 1GB of memory and 16GB of storage.
