Panasonic is not a brand, which someone would usually associate with smartphones, but rather audio/ visual and various other electronic equipments. Towards the end of November, it had been reported that the brand was jumping onto the Android bandwagon and in the process was renewing their phone production. This was swiftly confirmed in December, when Panasonic had teased an image and a few details of what to expect of their upcoming smartphone, in terms of looks. However at the time there was no name to this handset and it was merely called a Panasonic Android smartphone. As per a tweet from Panasonic’s official Twitter feed, they now call their upcoming smartphone – Eluga.
