One of the most important things that one looks for while buying a car is the addition of a new music system. While the genre of music may range from Bach to Backstreet Boys or from Jagjit Singh and Metallica, what every avid music listener wants is the ability to have great sound equipment and effects, but without paying through the roof.

To fulfill that space, Pioneer has announced a new Head Unit. Dubbed the DEH-6390SD, it brings in quite a few features one would want from a in-car music system. The DEH – 6390SD is a CD Receiver with a large 2-Line LCD. The unit can playback various audio formats including iTunes AAC/MP3/WMA. Another important feature is the Anti Dust Design, which Pioneer claims was specifically created for Indian conditions. Pioneer says the DEH-6390SD is designed with an efficient heat dissipation system which optimizes the airflow and reduces dust entry.

Adding to the list of features are external connections like an SD Memory Card Slot, USB Direct Control for iPod and iPhone, a 5 band graphic equalizer as well as a 7-Way Rotary Commander to quickly scroll songs and menus.

The DEH-6390SD is available at all Pioneer authorized dealers and will retail for an MRP of Rs. 8,990.
