In an official post on its OnQ blog, Qualcomm has revealed that the tablets launched at IFA Berlin this year, the Samsung ATIV Tab and the Dell XPS 10 are powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor, a fully-integrated, system-on-chip (SoC) solution capable of running the gamut of Windows applications. Qualcomm writes that unlike traditional PC processors, a Snapdragon-powered tablet is designed to easily provide a full day’s worth of battery life, lasting days on standby without a battery charge.

The new Samsung ATIV Tab is designed with a hairline finish and delivers a full Windows 8-based PC experience with tablet mobility. Weighing 570g, featuring a 10.1-inch display and measuring 8.9mm thick, the ATIV Tab instantly boots up without lagging. It comes with Office Home and Student 2013 RT, offering the new versions of Word, Excel, PowerPoint and OneNote. These applications are fully featured with complete document compatibility; users can open and create any document, make edits on it and share it with others. It is fuelled by an 8,200mAh. Moreover, the ATIV Tab is compatible with a range of Windows-based PC devices and accessories, including printers, keyboards, projectors, external monitors, and other peripherals, through its USB port and uHDMI, with no need to install extra software. The Windows operating system is compatible across devices. 

The XPS 10, as per the official blog post, boasts of a 10-inch multi-touch screen with enhanced viewing angles, giving a good multimedia experience. The accessories give this tablet its business focus. A QWERTY keyboard dock is fully detachable. All-day battery capability exists thanks to a Snapdragon processor.   

The ARM processor-based XPS 10 is designed to run Microsoft’s upcoming Windows RT operating system. The XPS 10, as per a post on Dell's Official Corporate blog, is available in a slick package that brings together long battery life with a mobile keyboard dock.
