It’s been a big week for our reviewers as marquee products passed through our labs. Here’s a round-up of our reviews from this week.
Galaxy S4, the best smartphone out there right now
Samsung Galaxy S4 (8.5/10)
The Samsung Galaxy S4 is easily the most powerful smartphone by a mile. The S4 easily irons out most of the chinks found in the S3’s armour with a slightly refreshed design. Even if you discount the gimmicky gesture support, the S4 still beats the HTC One in almost every department, perhaps except the loud speakers on the One. If you are shopping for the best smartphone, then look no further than the Galaxy S4.
LG 55LA6910 2013 Smart LED TV (7.5/10)
At a sticker price of Rs 2,10,000, the LG 55LA6910 Smart LED TV is priced at par with the Samsung UA55F7500BR. It may not be equal with the Samsung in terms of picture quality, but it has better 3D capability and clever features that actually add value to the package. The smart TV component is quite well done and is actually a delight to use thanks to an excellent mouse-esque remote control.
The LG 55LA6910 2013 LED has great smart TV features
HP ElitePad 900 (6/10)
If you have a budget of up to Rs 45,000 for a 3G tablet, then we suggest you go in for the Apple iPad (32GB with Wi-Fi and cellular support). The ElitePad 900 is a worthy consideration only if Windows 8 is a necessity for you. If the device had built-in USB 2.0 and HDMI ports along with a full HD display, it would have been good bang for your buck.
