After announcing their new Curve range back in August, Research In Motion (RIM) today officially launched the new Curve 9360 in India at a price tag of Rs.19,990. The handset will sport the same ergonomic keypad and optical trackpad combo we’ve come to love from the Curve series. RIM has also tied up with Airtel to offer postpaid customers special offers. For instance, the Rs. 299 BlackBerry plan will be offered for a trial period of 2 months, free of cost for new Curve 9360 owners. They can also avail of special call rates where all local calls are at 20p and local SMS is 50p to any one BB customer for a full year.

The Curve 9360 is powered by an 800Mhz processor and will run BlackBerry OS 7. The new WebKit browser is optimised for HTML5 to give you a better Internet experience. RIM bundles a bunch of pre-installed apps like the full version of Documents To Go, PDF viewer, BlackBerry Protect for securing sensitive data in the cloud, as well as locating the phone in case it’s misplaced. We also have BlackBerry Balance, which provides enterprise level security. The latest version of BBM is present, which now extends into other apps like Foursquare as well. Social Feeds 2.0 collates all your social networking feeds into a single place. Some of the highlights of the phone includes:
