I just saw this video on the Blackberry blog with the Playbook’s product manager, Ryan Bidan and the man's talking all about RIM’s wonder-tablet. He starts of the interview talking about how apps like BBM, calendar and e-mail functions will need the BlackBerry Bridge pairing feature to share a BlackBerry phone's services via Bluetooth. So this does mean that these features will not be native to the Playbook. However, this is probably going to be a problem for people using other phones, although RIM intends says the Bridge function has been implemented for security. This sounds a little too corporate to me.

Check out this video and listen to what Ryan Biden has to say about this issue, and then some.
