Even as you drum your fingers in anticipation of Angry Birds Toons airing on your television screens, Rovio has gone ahead and introduced a new game – The Croods. This free game is available for download for iOS and Android users on their respective app stores.
The Croods, the world's first modern family, are out in the wild. Set in Stone Age, the Croods will explore their way into fascinating new landscapes, hunt and tame the wild creatures that they come across. Players will have to trap and tame 10 creatures – there's the Girelephant, Molarbear among others. Using some great ideas, players will have to move to open and explore new areas. Then there are the latest in caveman accessories that they will have at their disposal to make a good-looking pre-historic world.

While the apps themselves are available for free, some in-game items can be purchased for real money. If you don't want this feature, you will have to disable the in-app purchases option.
The iOS version of The Croods is compatible with iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPhone 5, iPod touch (4th generation), iPod touch (5th generation), iPad 2 Wi-Fi, iPad 2 Wi-Fi + 3G, iPad (3rd generation), iPad Wi-Fi + 4G, iPad (4th generation), iPad Wi-Fi + Cellular (4th generation), iPad mini and iPad mini Wi-Fi + Cellular. To be able to use the app, users will requires devices running iOS 4.3 or later. This app is optimised for iPhone 5. To be able to play the Android version of the game, users will require devices running Android devices running version 2.2 and above.
Rovio's much-anticipated animated series will air on the weekend of March 16-17, wherein Angry Birds enthusiasts will get to see the latest adventures of the birds and the pigs on a larger screen. The Angry Birds Toons series will also be available for viewing on select TV networks around the world. Rovio will be launching its all-new, weekly animated series Angry Birds Toons across all its game titles on smartphones and tablets, in addition to TV channels, connected TVs and streaming-media boxes.
