Looks like Rovio is preparing a new episode for one of the most popular mobile games of all times. An Angry Birds Seasons update teaser was sent by the Finnish company to Angry Birds Nest, giving us a hint or two about the forthcoming update.
Just in time for the beginning of spring, the update could in fact be for that season and there are a couple of clues in the picture sent by Rovio. Firstly, the backdrop for the image is a starry sky, which indicates that the levels might take place in the spring night.
Then the text, 'The new seasons update is…' is getting sucked into some kind of a black hole or a portal. This hints at some of the mechanics for the new game

The update, which will be the 16th episode of Angry Birds Season, will likely bring some different physics and mechanics, along with a new bird or two. Most fans are itching to see some implementation of the challenging Angry Birds Space game play for the Seasons episode as well. Angry Birds Nest also reports that the update will have some “pretty interesting trick shots”, according to Rovio.
The next couple of months promise to be a pretty big month for astronomy geeks. The World Astronomy Day is set for April 20 and there are two meteor showers in the offing on April 21/22 and May 4/5. There is also a partial lunar eclipse on April 25 and an annular solar eclipse is expected for May 10. The presence of the black hole in the picture does cause us to lean towards the theory that there will be some astronomy-based interaction or challenge in the new episode.
Earlier, the company behind Angry Birds, Bad Piggies, Amazing Alex and The Croods had taken to Twitter to announce the new update for Angry Birds Season and also asked fans to decipher the image posted above.
