Love Mickey, but have a PS3 and not a Wii? Well now you a reason to rejoice, because there are rumours suggesting Epic Mickey will be making its way onto the Playstation 3 sometime in 2011.
Funnily enough, Sony’s expected to make an announcement on the 3rd of January in… Orlando, Florida. Yeah, that’s where Disney World is. Anyway, the rumours swirling around indicate the game will make use of the Playstation Move peripheral for motion controls, very much the reason the game went to the Wii exclusively in the first place. There is a possibility that the game isn’t a port but a version that was developed alongside its Wii counterpart. That would mean Sony kept this project secret for a couple of years (!).
The rumours also mention a collector’s edition for the game:__STARTQUOTE__ Among the information that today we can reveal stress that Mickey Epic Move will be compatible with PlayStation will be available in physical format Blu-ray and through digital download from PlayStation Store…The game launch will occur after a period of exclusivity for at least six months given to Nintendo…As expected, the legendary mouse will have a Collector’s Edition of the game with a pack containing the film Fantasia and Fantasia 2000 on Blu-ray with bonus content yet to reveal.__ENDQUOTE__As with all rumours, you’d want to take this one with many pinches of salt. It’d be nice if it was true though, ‘cause we definitely would like some HD Mickey. That'd be epic.
