According to CNET, Apple is likely to launch a new 15-inch MacBook. Though it is not certain whether the notebook would be a part of the Air series or the Pro series. The wording description 'ultra thin' on most Apple sites suggest that the new model is most likely to be a part of the 'Air' series as the MacBook Pro is slim, but not exactly ultra thin like the MacBook Air. What has been confirmed is that the new MacBook will be designed with a new battery, almost similar to the MacBook Pro; a CPU with better graphic chips and a beefier and more refined body. Along with these features the MacBook is also said to be topped with the latest Intel Core processors, High Speed Thunderbolt i/o, all Flash storage, as well as an attractive back-lit keyboard. Apple has revamped the MacBook Air, since last October and Steve Jobs described the Air series as “the future in notebooks”.
Leaner and Meaner
The MacBook Air already comes in three sizes i.e. a 11-inch, 13-inch and 17-inch respectively. Unlike the MacBook Air, Apple saw a consecutive decline in sales of the MacBook Pro after the company shifted to its uni-body in early 2008. With the MacBook Air having a good success rate in the past and assuming the new MacBook Air is reasonably priced, people will definitely consider buying the product..
